Drew,

this is random, but of the utmost importance:

Pirates or Ninjas?

Might as well throw in my random question while we are in a random question mood. This is one I asked Collin, so it's a tradition.

If you had a pet squid, what would you name it?

Special Stanford version: what if you had to name it after a philosopher?

Drew, how old were you when you first began playing any kind of baseball?  Pro athletes seem to start very young.

Golfing seems to be a popular pastime among players during spring training during breaks in play.

Do you golf, fish, bike, or participate in any other such outdoor recreational activities?

I dont golf anymore, may be something I pick up again in spring training. I mainly relax inside and watch movies or play ps3 in my free time.

Drew,

Do you go with the long socks look, or do you keep the pants over top the cleats?

I am a fan of the pants down, much more comfortable.

Do you have any good friends on the major league club? And who are your best friends in the minors?

I know a few of the guys on the big league club, but I havent really spent a lot of time with them in order to become good friends with anyone. They have all been great to me so it wont be hard when that time comes. I have a lot of good friends from this past summer so its hard to say, but I have stayed in contact with Cory Van Allen, Jesse Estrada, and Jack McGeary and other guys throughout the offseason.

When you pitched in the CCBL, did you notice any big differences when the hitters were using wood rather than aluminum? How much did you need to step up your game since everyone was an all-star?

Thanks,
Ben

I am pretty sure I was dropping bombs off a fisher price tee when I was about 2. Switch hitting of course

Building on LGN, do you know of any players willing to go with Upper Deck on cards without team logos?

I didnt notice a whole lot because the hitters abilities compensated for the lack of pop in a wood bat. You are able to throw inside more and it always is fun to break a bat.

since Batman was trained by the League of Shadows, a vote for Batman is a vote for Ninjas.

I knew you had some sense, Drew.

I havent heard anything about that.

In a nutshell,
Topps signed an exclusive contract with MLB, but not MLBPA. Players can appear on Upper Deck cards, but not in uniform. Curious if any will go ahead with it.

I know that you are on twitter (I'm @LeperMessiah) and you are doing this chat with us.  Do you plan to continue to use social media to interact with your fans as you advance in your career?

Any idea where you want to live when you make the big league team? You really should visit the Spy Museum when you get a chance.. it's my favorite DC museum, and of course the Smithsonian's are a must see as well.

Right, I knew the business side of it. I meant i havent heard of any guys who are going to do that. Maybe I can do a Mark Sanchez/Baywatch card series.
