Uline boxes - Moving? They'll UPS ground ship (1 day to most locations in the country) a stack of flattened boxes right to your house for a very reasonable price.

The New Amazon Customer Service - after years of hiding their 800 number and being all around jerks, they took complaints to heart. They now will call you back instantly, I've never experienced hold time, and they again have very experienced staff

I'm sure I'll think of more. I'm very loyal when a company goes above and beyond.

Two GREAT over the counter pharmaceuticals -

Zantac - just slays heartburn, and keeps it dead.

Imodium-AD - stops diarrhea in its tracks.  Essential when you must travel regardless of your issue.

We used to hire what we called the "moving marines".  They were active duty stationed on Quantico, just picking up a little weekend coin.

NewEgg.com: Great prices, great service, ground ships in day in the mid-atlantic. I have never, ever had a problem there, even when I bought a non-returnable HDTV.

Monoprice.com: Disturbingly cheap cables. We're talking 10x cheaper than anywhere else for HDMI, VGA, etc. Excellent quality.

Charles Tyrwhitt. ctshirts.com. british dress shirts. expensive regularly, but they usually have sales where you can get good ones for 35-50 dollars.  I like em because they have slim fit. The no iron ones are great.  hang em out of the dryer. then the night before you want one spray with a spray bottle and it is good to go. You'll make your money back on cleaners fees or ironing time. I've actually been applying that spray bottle technique to anything I need ironed and it works well. I first discovered it on their shirts and havent bought them anywhere else

At Zappo's you are subsidizing the free returns. Nothing ever fits me the first time. I hate going to the store, so this works out great. Refunds before the CC bill comes FTW.

Also Ebags.com - they have absurd warranties. I used an Ebags brand laptop backpack every day for years, and then it split open. I called them about their lifetime warranty, and they offered me a credit for the purchase price to my card. I didn't even have to mail back the bag Best service ever.

The Verizon Store in Frederick, MD. I had to go in the week of Christmas with my son because he was having some issues with his phone. They took care of us and their customer service was excellent. You just don't get that kind of service anymore. I was really impressed.

Well, my experience with the Verizon store in Bailey's Crossroads was like trying to get information from a government bureaucratic with the VA, SSA, or IRS.  They were pathetic and couldn't even tell me where I could get a manuel, either from the store or online.online

The Adams Morgan Safeway:  The most awful ghetto crap supermarket since the Soviet Union.  The vegetables working the checkout lines are in even worse shape than the rotten lettuce in the produce department, and their deli could make ex-cons pine for the prison slopline.  A disgraceful place that might as well be managed by North Koreans.

One of my favorite products is and oldie (124 years old) - Bon Ami.  It cleans everything, and costs 89 cents for a bottle.  I haven't seen anything do a better job cleaning wheels/break dust, golf clubs, pots and pans, bathroom, counter tops, floor, grout, woodtrim on the boat, glass (great on glass-top stoves), or just about anything.  None of the new stuff comes close, and nothing is as safe or environmentally friendly (it is literally safe enough to eat, though I still wouldn't recommend it).

It probably was.  Bon Ami is a powder, but you mix it with water (sometime vinegar - windows).  It's a lot cheaper per bottle, and then goes a whole lot further.
