tankless hot water heaters
« Topic Start: January 06, 2010, 04:45:17 PM »
Anyone have one?  I'm starting to get estimates, and am interested in what peoples' experience has been with them (i.e. gallons-per-minute capacity needed, installation costs, etc).  I like the fact that they are energy efficient (and really like the federal tax credit), but it's mainly the unlimited hot water I'm after.

They also take up a lot less space, a nice plus for anyone not rolling in square footage.  Could free up an extra closet equivalent.

Unfortunately, you can't blow them up.

The gas-powered ones are fine.  The electric ones are disappointing.

Ha, well, hope I never find out what kind of charge is required to blow the sucker up.

Good to hear...my electrical can't handle a whole lot more anyways, so gas would be my preference in any event.

Good.  Actually, I should have said the gas powered ones are great.  If you get a gas-powered one, you'll love it.
