i took the kids out for their first "cook at your table" Korean experience tonight.  They wouldn't eat the side dishes but loved the Bulgogi.  Anyway, at the end of the meal they served a cold cup of Korean cinnamon tea which I found out is called "Soo Jung Gwa" and was one of the best things I've ever tasted.

I found a recipe on-line, now if I can only find persimmons:

10 cinnamon sticks
5-6 pieces ginger
10 cups water
2 cups sugar
10 dried persimmons
1/4 cup pine nuts
In a big pot, add water, cinnamon sticks and ginger, let boil for about an hour or two.
Add sugar (depends on a taste, add more or less). Let cool. Put in a refrigerator.
Serve with a persimmon inside and some pine nuts on top.
