MLB article: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060726&content_id=1577261&vkey=news_was&fext=.jsp&c_id=was

The Nationals have tried to communicate with the Soriano camp to see if they could sign the left fielder to an extension, but a source said agent Diego Bentz doesn't want to negotiate until after the season, leaving Washington no choice but to trade him.

They cant make it any clearer

My condolences to you and your family. No loss is ever easy, and grandparents are always special. What's kinda nice about grandparents, is that we seem to always see them with children's eyes.

Yeah, Ken's right on the that.  Grandma's are special!  I still miss mine, 11 years later.  Thank God I still have the my mom's mom.  But I still miss my dad's mom like crazy!  And I do still see her w/ my child eyes!  What a neat insight Ken!  Erica, the neat thing is that a piece of her will always live on in you!

its actually kind of funny. my nune was a huge pittsburgh fan back in the day!! :-D well she lived up there!!  she would go to the games and keep score! i guess i get my baseball love from her!! but all of her kids and grand & great all played tons of sports! when she was in good health, she always tried to make it to our games as a kid!!

I also add my condolences Erica. All of my Grandparents are dead and I miss them all. I am glad she taught you to love Baseball.
