I was at this bar once.  The bartender called himself "Mr. Madison" and wouldn't shut up about the Nats and kept complaining about how stupid some guy he called "Sports Fan" was.  Worst freaking bartender EVER!!!!!

;)

Ha I was in a hipster-dive bar in Houston once, and my friend asked the bartender what the special of the house was. The bartender (also a friend) looked the guy straight in the eye and said "Beer."

I have to admit, I'm a Rum/Whiskey kind of guy.

I finally tasted some Gin on my birthday.

OMFG how do people drink that stuff, it's nasty as crap.  and I didn't drink the cheap rail Gin either, it was a Dry Tanqueray Martini on the rocks.

ugh.

for now, I'll stick with Rum, Whiskey, and Vodka(but not Grey Goose, grey goose sucks).

speaking of whiskey...I've tried Bourbon, and Canadian whiskey(Crown Royal = THE BOMB), but I've yet to try Scotch or Irish Whiskey. i'll get to it one of these days.

made a Manhattan that was awesome, same night i tried the Gin Martini.

Crown Royal, Amaretto, Sweet Vermouth shaken(my bar doesn't carry bar spoons, WTF) over ice and strained,  Dry Vermouth swirled around the Cocktail glass. garnished with a cherry. I loved it.

Oh man I love gin.  It smells like you are drinking a Christmas tree   I don't drink it straight though, I mix it usually with 7up or Ginger ale.  I buy seagrams because it is cheap and has never given me a head ache or hangover the next day.

The only liquor I drink straight besides cognac (mmmm) is Irish Whiskey.  Jameson is good and I also had some cheap stuff called "Tullamore Dew" I think that was ok.

Does anyone else get annoyed how these restaurants consider anything with vodka in it to be a martini?  Put some apple flavoring in vodka and it's an appletini, vodka and chocolate liquer...oh it's a chocotini!  No numb nuts it's vodka with whatever flavoring you put in it!!!  A martini is dry vermouth and vodka or gin (depending on who you talk to).  I'm surprised they don't mix oj and vodka and call it an orangetini.

Rum - great times

Tequila - gets you through times with people you don't want to be around

Black Russians - just gets your @$$ in trouble

Agh. One time I was 3 sheets to the wind and about to order a Lagavulin when some genius told me what a really wanted was a Tullamore Dew. Even in that state I knew it tasted like turpentine

With expensive scotch, you get what you pay for. Even after several beers, I can taste the difference.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Local ABC stores here are putting up displays of this stuff and promoting it like nuts.

Haven't even heard of it yet.  Then again, I don't have ABC's up here in the North.   :?

PA Liquor Control Board is the only game in town, you have to be more specific ;)

I have a bottle of Firefly which is the same thing.  I've heard it's better then Jeremiah Weed.  Firefly is really good with 1/4 water 3/4 vodka.  Tastes just like sweet tea.

Really?  What was disappointing.  It tastes like sweet tea vodka to me.  Although it is really low proof I believe for a vodka.

I didn't get so much the sweet tea taste from it and I think the low proof was bumming to me as well. I like my drink strong and with the warning it might put a little more hair on my werewolf balls.
