how will we ever know if he is the real deal if we don't play him?

We won't  :?
It's all part of Riggleman's evil plan for the rest of the season.

lol you've said some crazy crap before, but look at what you just wrote.  it may take the cake.

livan is a former two-time all star and a world series MVP.  he's a proven major league vet.  is he an ace or front of the line pitcher?  no.  but he's looking like a pretty good #5 pitcher.

martin has proven crap at the MLB level.
i couldn't give a freak less what he did in the past. i am talking about NOW, the present. how do his all star appearances and world series mvp help us win more games now and in the future?

there is no way the current version of livan is better than the current j.d. martin.

hahahahaha pete orr first pitch weak pop up in foul territory.  i don't care if morse isn't a middle infield by trade, he's played there before, give him a freakin shot.  i'm tired of orr and gonzalez.

That would probably be why the are considered the best player on that team.  What do you want to do, always walk the best player of each team?
not get beat by them. pitch them carefully. read scouting reports.

you are telling me that Hanley hits like this against the rest of the league? no chance.

Hanley has 5 HRs, 22 RBIs and is batting .417 against the Nats this year.  :lmao:

livan can eat innings, is a proven vet and he can share tips/advice to the younger guys.  he's made 4 starts with us (3 of them quality).  martin has made 3 quality starts in 10 starts.

stop sucking martin off b/c he's younger than hernandez (although @ 26 he doesn't fit your ideal age) :lmao:

haha he's just not a MLB pitcher.

I still like him. He's the type of pitcher who I think will actually get better as he gets more starts in the majors.

I think so too.  He really needs to keep his fastball down.  He leaves it up too much, which leads to all of these HR's against him.  If he can address that, he has a good chance of being quite useful.

no.  it's embarrassing.  with the nats, i can understand fans don't want to go see a crappy team, but as zim said when they win, people come out.  as for the marlins, they really just don't have a fan base.
