Pedro is still a highly effective pitcher, but he's brittle and we know the chances of him throwing even 160 innings are pretty dim. We need guys to eat innings while pitching effectively, and Pedro is a luxury we can't afford most likely.
I don't know if I could handle a Pedro AND Livan debate right now though...
