Desmond is kicking ass.

Yet this thread seems to be bursting with man love.

Kid has had a hell of a debut, and was robbed of a run at the plate. He deserved the curtain call, but the crowd should not applaud a flyball out.

He really got a piece of it though. Maxwell should have advanced.

Livan has a lost a ton of weight huh? Classy of him to smile and nod at the fans.

what's funny is that Desmond isn't even a power hitter really.

Only hit 1 Homer in 178 ABs with Syracuse prior to getting called up.

I guess what they say about some players doing better in the Majors than the Minors because they see better pitching is true.

Livan now with 3 quality starts out of 4.

I have the worst luck. I was at the game in which he was putrid.

Riggleman needs to have a short hook with Livan, methinks.

Funny, I knew someone would make that assumption, but I didn't think it'd be you.

what is the point in having Livan pitch into the 8th? there is no bullpen to save. we have tons of arms out there.

Livan had a great outing. let the young guys pitch.

I hope he banged Riggleman and Villone's heads together.

What a hell of a crowd today

Well, that can be the case in some cases, but in general, while you may see the ball better, it is still harder. The 3-run jack was on giant hanging breaking ball sitting out their like a beach ball. At least he makes good contact. Not an easy thing for some of these guys who move to the next level.

I really hope they go ahead and play him a lot over the remainder of the season. We have to see what he can do. Guzman is just not acceptable as the only option at SS.

OT: Rise Against is a damn good band, from the songs I hear.
