at least it was a quick game.

one of the most humiliating losses of the season (there's been a lot). like I said I don't even know why they made the trip to SD. Should have came home following the sweep in St. Louis.

August looked like it was going to be the first winning month for the Nats since 2007. Not to be.

I wouldn't mind keeping Livan around next season as a long reliever/spot starter/extra pinch hitter. I actually think he'd be an awesome long reliever.

all the offense's fault. they just aren't that good.

8 runs total in the last 4 games. they are helpless against any pitcher who knows how to pitch.

I hope the hell not. Mike won't be fooled. That would be a Bowden-like move to sign Livan for next year.

Nationals use 1 pitcher and give up 8 baserunners.

Padres use 5 pitchers and give up 12 baserunners.

Uhh.  When I saw that I thought- well, if they were going to do that, they should have suicide squeezed.

Riggleman is approaching Manny Acta status. wow.

Livan just rocked a single in his first AB and instead of letting him swing away he calls for a stupid ass bunt!! with the bases loaded!!

I turned off the game right after this fiasco, burning mad.  WTF?  At least suicide if you do the bunt. That was one of the lamest plays I've seen all year.  Did anyone last until the presser to see if he addressed what the thinking was there?
