our starting lineup is embarrassing.

I hate that we continue to start over-the-hill bums that have no future on this team. I don't care how much Orr or Belliard hit.

please shake this crap up in September and play the younger guys.

I think this is part of Rizzo's weeding process.   He'll do it.    May not be 'til spring but it will get done.   Two more days 'til the call ups.   I'm afraid these moves are on Riggleman.   Even though I like the guy, I think some of his decisions recently have hurt his chances of being the skipper next year.

 Phil Wood's middle name is Abner.

And he did not look very happy with Johnny for outing that little tidbit

I was at a party last night. Snuck into a bedroom and found the game on after three pitches saw C Rasmus (14th HR, off R Villone; 5th inn, 2 on, 2 outs to Deep RF) go yard.  Really started drinking after that, good party but bad timing.

So Phil Wood shared a wonderful insight - the Nats won't pick up the option on Kearns. Stunning.

Does anybody want Garrett Mock as a starter next season? I think if he can prove that he can go 6 or 7 innings, I'm fine with him being a starter next season.

It was just speculation on his part, he didn't claim it as fact (though it obviously will probably come to be so)

I knew you were being sarcastic, but anyone who didn't see the broadcast might not have.
