horrible game. only the Nats blow games like this.

leading 2-1 in the 8th inning and serve up a bomb in each of the last 2 innings to lose it.

choking bastards

what a great outing by Lannan.

the Offense didn't show up, just like normal for Lannan.

everyone in the Lineup should pay their entire game's salary to Lannan.

Well, we COULD have walked him.  There was no need to pitch to Pujols there.

look at that HR pitch on gameday. center cut 90 mph fastball. right down the middle.

what a freaking moron. any other game and he's throwing  curve balls and sliders but to Pujols he makes it easy and throws a straight fastball right down the middle.

he's done.

5.86 ERA now and he has given up runs in each of his last 5 outings.

That bad thing is that just about everyone on here saw that coming. How sad is that?

we could have let Lannan pitch to him.

Lannan pretty much owned the crap out of Pujols the entire game.

you just knew that Pujols would break out, as soon as Lannan left the game.

yeah you had the good call ... lannan was @ 91 pitches after 8 innings ... he should've been in the game.

I wouldn't say that he is done. This is the Nationals that we're talking about. Pete "freaking" Orr is playing for the Nats. Alberto Gonzalez is playing for the Nats. Never say never when it comes to this team.

You know what? Jason Bergmann did good there. This game just needed to be put out of its misery. It just needed to be over.

I would have kept Lannan in or brought in MacDougal before bringing in Bergmann to face the heart of their order.

Hell, with the way Bergmann has pitched lately he should be the last man to come out of the pen.

It's like neither Acta nor Riggleman have ever paid any attention to whether guys they are bringing in out of the pen are pitching well or not at the current moment.

I've been saying it for the past two years now: what more do you people need to realize Bergmann has no place on this team?

I defended him earlier in the season and he is still better than Sosa and Villone but that is not saying much.

Bergmann is minor league fodder and should be dumped in the off-season. just get rid of his ass. no more fooling with his bullcrap. he sucks and always will suck. freakkkkk
