I was kidding about Medoza, before someone thinks I'm stupid.
It has to be someone with a lot of hits. It has to be either Hank Aaron or Pete Rose. Pete Rose makes sense since he's the all-time hit leader.

Mendoza?

I doubt Mendoza had more than 1000 AB's.

That's tough. Pete Rose has to be one of them. The other one has to be an old player like Griffey.
Charlie Hustle is the retiree, Griffey is not the active

If DP's were counted as two outs Zimmerman would be in contention.

More trivia; Name the ACTIVE and retired players who have made the most outs in their MLB careers?  Two players neither played for Nats or Brewers.
Active player has played 21 years and been a 3 time All-Star

Too bad Bonds and Biggio are retired or they would be strong candidates.

Huh?
I thought that's what the answer was considering he was in the league over 20 years and was a 3-time all star.
