here we go, let's break out the stats:

-We are 0-9 against Florida in 2009.
-We are 3-23 in our last 26 games against Florida dating back to the start of 2008.
-Florida is 10-1 playing at Nationals Park.
-Florida is 7-0 in Josh Johnson's last 7 starts against the Nationals.

By your logic that means we are due for a win then.

So therefore the Marlins have a 0.0042% chance of beating us, right?  Cause your odds fairies will be out there with us 100%, pushing fair balls foul, giving the Marlins bad hops, and generally being the 10th man (uh, er whatever fairies are) for the Nats.  Sounds good to me, let's go Nats!

we may beat them eventually but tonight is not the night most likely. One of the best pitchers in the NL against our #4-5 making his 3rd career start.

And you have to factor in that the Marlins are a completely different team against the Nationals. They play loose and have full confidence that they are going to win every night against us. This is one of the sole cases where you actually expect one team to have complete dominance over another. I mean, we are due for a win but the Marlins simply don't lose to the Nats, or at least not very often.

I've never seen one team have so much ownage over another team in my years of following baseball. it's unexplainable.

They haven't played the Nats since the Tony Plush trade. You never know, the captain just might feel sexy tonight.

I don't know. If you have watched the Marlins when they play against the Nats it's like they are playing against a high school team. They laugh in the dugout the entire time and play so free and easy because they know that no matter what happens they will prevail against us.

Something needs to change. Plunk Hanley or EB to send a message. Something must be done to make the Marlins less comfortable playing against the Nats. Hell, just beating them a few times might do the trick. They are 10-1 lifetime at Nats Park. It is like a second home for them.

You're not looking hard enough.  Brewers were 24-4 from Aug. 2007 to July 2009 vs. Pittsburgh.

Plunk EB to send a message.
This needs to happen.  He's been a cocky sunofagun the past couple of series vs. us.  This should be our theme song the next few days.

if you go back to the end of '07 we are 3-25 in our last 28 games against them.

Maybe they are just gay. Is there something wrong with being so frolicky?

8-10, I believe.  I know they were 8 of their last 13, I believe that was where the five game losing streak coming out of the break ended.  I'm not sure if that included yesterday's game or not.  So it could be 9-10.

0-4 vs. the Cubbies.
2-3 vs. the Mets
0-1 vs. the Cards
2-3 vs. the Padres
2-2 vs. the Brewers
2-2 vs. the Pirates

= 8-15? Am I missing a series or is that right?

EB will be on the bench, so plunking him would be hilarious and Chico-y.

But that means we've won or tied four straight series (not counting the Cardinals series).
