Battle of the 6's:Who will leave with an ERA under 6. Balester. Hands down.

With the Brewers line-up? Eh. They scored six last night and they can very well do it again tonight. I am not sure of my faith in the Nats putting up the numbers they did last night two nights in a row so Balester is on his own.

Balester is really ready to pitch a good one tonite. The Nats are on fire. Balester is used to working with no run support so it will be a pleasant surprise if the Nats put some runs on the board for him.

   Go Nats! Go Bally!

As sorry as I am to say it I've got a bad feeling about Balester tonight. He looked shakey as hell on Thursday night, and the Brewers are going to be out for blood after being nationally embarrassed by Willingham's two Grand Slams last night. Maybe we'll repeat last night and outscore them, but I'm thinking 4-5 runs in 3-4 innings type of outing for Bally. Hopefully I'm wrong.

The Milwaukee media was taken aback by Macha's surprise selection of Villanueva to start tonight instead of Dillard.

If I did know how to bet, I would bet on the Nats when lannan and Stammen is on the mound, and bet against them with everyone else.

Have you seen Balester pitch this year? He is so ready to pitch and go deep into the game. What happened yesterday should have no bearing on tonites game. If it does the Nats starter ,Collin Balester should have a great game as Stammen really struggled while exiting the game early.  Tha Nats are on a roll and they want to win 4 in a row. I hope I am right!

Do it again tonight, Hammer, or it means nothing  :whip:

;)

Hoping Bally comes through tonight and we can keep this little run going. It's kind of fun to "embarrass" teams at this point in the season. Hope we get to do it a lot this month.

Villanueva's starting experience, the fact that in five games against Washington, Villanueva has held the Nationals to a .133 batting average with a 2-0 record and has allowed two runs to them in 12 1/3 innings.

Villanueva is 2-7 with a 6.18 earned-run average in 43 2/3 relief innings. The last time he started a game was May 18, 2008 at Boston when he allowed six runs in five innings.

Villanueva is bad enough, and has gone long enough since starting, that he might pwn us.

I realize it's a worthless statistic, but anyone know how Guz's average has been since Rigglemen moved him back into the #2 spot?

Absence of Johnson in the lineup, at this time of year, puts a knot in my stomach.  :'(

I like the lineup.

NJ isn't going anywhere. Which team would want him?

Not sure when the move was actually made, but he's hitting .320 over the past week (8/25).

Texas perhaps, but I read they want a right-handed hitting 1B.  Unless the Mets think they're still in it, Nick may stay.

Boston. They'd do it even if they were only going to start him a few times per week.

they already got LaRoche. no need for Johnson.

Nats should have dealt him weeks ago when his value was still high and teams (Boston and SF) still needed a 1B-man.

oh well, let's pray we get a draft pick for him.
