I thought you wanted us to keep him and acquire more players like him

I don't think they should trade him but I never expect this front office to do the right thing.  :icon_frown:

I wouldn't push Stammen too much further.

fantastic

82 pitches (55 strikes) through 7.

I don't think he'll go CG but I would bring him out to start the 8th.

He's really dominating, great job. I'm going back to the Stammen thread and call out those who wanted him sent down a month ago.    :P

I wanted him to go to the bullpen, but since then he has had several great outings.

It seems the sound on the HD broadcast isn't synced up too well with the picture. I hear the catchers mitt before it actually gets there by a split second.

So much for Guzman improving his hitting by hitting second.

Another 0-fer for Guzman.

0 for his last 19.

Since June 28th he is 8 for 69 (.116). His BA has dropped 40 points in that stretch.

That's why I wouldn't have gone back to Stammen.  There's no way that run doesn't score.  At least that run.  A big inning for the Mets is what's more likely.

Surprised they aren't warming up Clippard with the way he pitched to the Mets on Sunday.

Someone suggested Guzman might need eye surgery again.  That's actually very possible -- his eyes may have regressed.  I had to have it done twice before my vision stayed perfect.

To Dibble's point, BP found that generally when a pitcher gets tired, he is still able to maintain velocity but loses control.  They try harder to maintain their speed, but it throws off their mechanics and they throw more balls.

Time to go for Stammen.

It was three innings. It's not like he ran a marathon.
