orlando hudson would've helped this club out more than hernandez can.  can't believe we missed the boat on that one.

Problem is Hudson is 31 years old
Hernandez is 26 and can fill until someone better comes along
Hudson could've signed a two or three-year deal in order to fill in as we wait on Desmond or Kobernus.

That was Belliard's first hit since June 10th.

That hit might have given Belliard another few weeks with this club.

1) The FO believed, just as most here did, that Hernandez was our future second baseman.

2) I'm 90% sure Hudson wouldn't have signed here anyways.

An attempt at Hudson would've been nice instead of letting him go. We made to many risks going into this season. We put our money on our young bullpen and thats blown up in our face and we also put money on AH and that turned out awful too.

A 1-3 yr deal with Hudson would've been awesome. He was about the money, I don't think it would've mattered if it were us or not with a top deal. crap having him play here while letting our young guys in the minors develop would be perfect.

wow, his fastball is all over the place.

Time to bring in Moylan to induce a ground ball from RZ.

Wasn't Hudson coming off some kind of injury?

Perfect for us. Not for him. And we don't even know if the Nats made an offer to him or not.

you can believe me or not, but i have a mutual friend who grew up in the same town with o-dog and he said he would come to dc, definitely.  he also said it public too, so it's no secret.

the word was he failed a physical but a week later he signed with the dodgers?  doesn't make sense though.

anywho he would've helped.  good pop, good glove, good "character".  oh well we're stuck with what we have.
