I don't really know the protocol on this, is there any limit to how many I should be doing in a row?

It's usually whoever wants to do it.

Although if you win, you're supposed to do it again the next day.

it doesnt matter, its whoever does it first. But usually the next day instead of the night before. I guess this counts as the next day though, techinically

For those going today: per Yahoo! Weather, 40% chance of rain tonight but it should be precip-free through the afternoon. It'll be 85 degrees and sunny-to-partly-cloudy though so unless you're sitting undercover, don't forget the sun-block.

I'm just hoping this one doesn't go extra innings (let alone take 3hr 28min to get the regulation 9 innings into the books, like last night) - I for one would really like to get out of DC before the mall-fireworks crowd starts piling onto Metrorail and clogging everything up.

I say LT should get to do the threads just because of his cool graphics.

Last 5 games:
IP     H    ER    BB    K    ERA    WHIP  QS  W-L
John Lannan      37    28     9    11    13   2.19    1.05   5   3-0
Tommy Hanson  29    24     8     17   18   2.48    1.41   2   4-0

Controlling walks is a key for both pitchers.

I picked Lannan up for my fantasy team today, over Hanson and Liriano.
Slowey went on the DL, so I dumped him...

I have a bad feeling about this start for Lannan. Hopefully I'm wrong because he usually pitches well vs. the Braves.

Hanson should have his best career start today and set a new career high for Ks. 5 was his previous best.

I think we'll hit him.

Quote
After this afternoon's game against the Braves, the Nationals will recall right-hander Jason Bergmann from Triple-A Syracuse, according to colleague Bill Ladson from MLB.com.

Bergmann will most likely take the roster spot of reliever Jesus Colome. Colome, who served up a three-run homer in last night's 9-8 loss to Atlanta, is 1-1 with a 8.40 ERA this season.

finally

Gotta love the movement on Hanson's pitches. I can see why he's been doing so well.
