Not watching too many MASN broadcasts so far, I have a question.  Does Carpenter use the same catch-phrases over and over again all the time?

That's thre days in a row I've heard the phrase, "get off the interstate" when referring to Willingham.  Really, Bob.......shut up.

You know, there are those who would say tha by not choking up and just trying to put the ball in play on 0-2, Dunn would be "selfish" with that AB.    :icon_mrgreen:

What is everyone's thoughts on Dukes?

He's over 600 at bats now in his career and he's still just a .236 hitter with a below .800 OPS. Is this guy going to put it together or are what we're seeing is the real Dukes?

The situational hitting of this team is really lacking.  Most teams with runner on 2nd and 1 out can at least get that runner to 3rd.

I think he's suffering from FLop syndrome.  I bet he gets on a good team and goes ape-crap.

At the same time, what horrible baserunning by Willingham.  He didn't slide or anything.

His approach hasn't been very good in a lot of these at bats. But he suffers from being yanked out of the lineup. It seems after he has a good game, he isn't put back out the next day. That's stupid. He's incredibly talented and needs to play every day. Eckstein can work on adjustments, but he needs to be out there to gain consistency.

He's streaky. He'll snap out of it. I'm uncertain if he'll learn how to adjust faster. Seems like people have him jammed up on the inside and reaching on the outside.
