anyone with half a brain should be smart enough to make these decisions. What the hell was the point in keeping Villone in there? There was nothing to gain. Acta was lucky Villone got out of last inning unscathed.

Quite frankly, nobody has come up with a predictive model yet that had any accuracy as to what batters were going to get hits, and exactly which at-bats.

You, AZ and a few other posters are the only ones in Natstown who only have half a brain though so excuse the rest of us for having too much brain to keep up with your logic.

Why do you keep nagging about not bringing in relievers who are not even on the roster?
because both of those guys would give us a better chance to win than Kip freaking Wells and Joel Hanrahan.

I can't believe they put Wells on a rehab assignment and then brought him back like he was actually important enough to be DL-ed and rehabilitated.

But they aren't on the roster so it's futile to call for them until they are called up.

Hasn't he had something like two consecutive good outings?  That makes him THE man on our staff, pretty much.

Wells blows, and Manny never seems to get that relievers either have their stuff working or they don't. That appearance was pathetic. Youklis is a good ballplayer, but he's not Babe Ruth. Free passes are just disgusting.

Grand slam coming here.

So, should we change pitchers, or is it futile no matter what we do.

He's the last guy I'd put it with the bases juiced, though. At least he doesn't give up homers.

You also (falsely) said that opening day 2008 was not a sellout.

So, should we change pitchers, or is it futile no matter what we do.

Doesn't matter.  Zimmerman's error clinched this game for the Red Sox.

...though Kip Wells should be DFA'd IMMEDIATELY!  He should never have seen the light of day with the Nationals again after he was sent down.

With this bullpen it almost doesn't matter.
