Why does Nick Johnson play in front of the bag when someone is on.  He has to reach behind himself to tag anyone getting back.

They're probably not allowed. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Dibble dabbled in some juicing when he played.
I believe so too.

Of course you're correct in the direct sense, but if the team is sleepwalking and this is contributing to errors, than Acta does deserve some of the blame.

Has Nick Johnson ever looked so inept at first as in the last week?
I can't believe how shaky he looks. so much for trading him. he must want to stay here :?

Sounds as if you're implying that Zimmerman and Johnson are unprofessional. It's not like Zimmerman hasn't made those types of throws throughout his career. What about the great plays he has made recently? As for Johnson, that ball was scorched. He's lucky he got out of the way of that one in one piece.

it's not about Dukes. it's about Kearns.

the whole team sucks.

I'm pretty sure most of us here have known and acknowledged how bad Kearns is for a while.

yeah but in April months ago everyone was sucking Kearns off because he hit a couple of HRs in spring training.

I just wanted to say "I called it." cause I did.

His .900 OPS in April into May justified that. I said to pull him when he started sucking, they did. Willingham is hitting better than both.

It seems as if you were pointing to his OBP as proof that he was having a good season not too long ago.

Just thinking of something, what if Dunn had been at first on the liner instead of Johnson.
Decapitation?

Originally, I said play the guy who's doing the best. His OBP was valuable at the time, and his defense was sound. Now he can't do anything.

Jeez, If Carpenter and Dibble say a certain amount of nice things about Yankee Stadium is A-Rod
hooking them up with some whores.

I feel like they're just plugging leaks and eventually the whole thing is going to blow open.

He looks pretty dejected. The lack of any offensive support probably has something to do with it.

oh it will, soon enough. our offense blew a chance at winning this game. you have to score runs in this little league stadium. they aren't even hitting the ball hard. all it takes is a fairly well hit fly ball for it to go out.

This is why I'm down on Martis.  4 walks in 4 innings? :spaz: Not to mention he's horribly inefficient with pitches.  83 in 4 innings ain't gonna get it done.
