Insofar as I'm aware, he's with the Mariners organization. During the UVA–Cal State Fullerton game today, the ESPN2 "Bottom Line" ticker kept listing notable baseball alumni from both schools, and "Nationals P Chad Cordero" was one of the names.

I assume this is just sloppiness by someone at ESPN, but I can't help but asking whether something changed and he's somehow back with the Nationals organization.

Still with Seattle. CBS had this bit on him today:

Quote
Cordero can't get his velocity up: Right-hander Chad Cordero, trying to come back from labrum surgery, continues to throw bullpens in Peoria, Ariz. "His velocity is still not where it was before," manager Don Wakamatsu said. "There is no pain, but it will be a while with Chad."

Cordero has entered the Mark Prior-zone: baseball purgatory. It is where your career is not over yet, but we probably have seen the last of him.
