I don't see how you cna call him a head case when the only problems he had with the team was that he wasn't good on Defense. And the whole "not reporting to Portland" thing? He didn't have to go. His contract said he could go to Russia.

Call me an optimistic fan, but I think that if they can stay healthy, they'll do pretty solid.

Maybe head case is too harsh (not my label). Lets just say maturity was an issue and it had more to do with his lack of effort in his own zone.

I hope he comes back and lights it up! We know what AO can do, now its up to the other Alex to show up.

Most young players from other countries have problems adjusting to the U.S. and the NHL. Calle Johansson for one, but he struggled in a different way. Semin came over here with an attitude that he didn't want to put in the effort and didn't think he needed a coach. If he gets over that and shuts up and just plays......he'll be a good Cap!

And I guess you didn't hear, they signed Pothier and Brashear, as well as trading for Zednik.

I AM caphcky from the Caps boards but haven't been over there in years. I hear the the ice-vine that I'm still thought of being there by Chelsea and all his other legions of losers. Sad to think that shut in is over 50 and chatting with kids on a message board.
