At what point do the Dunn haters shut the hell up?

I have admitted in the past, I wasn't thrilled that the Nats went after Dunn.  The defense is horrifying at times, but I like the other things he brings to the team (OBP and HRs).  No one can deny that he has increased the production of an offense that was beyond ugly last year.

Stammen's curve has very little break on it, but he can nail it consistently in the strikezone and it is effective.

He protects Zimmerman, he gives other guys a lot of RBI opportunities w/ his high OBP, he makes pitchers throw a lot pitches, and he hits massive homers (which does get to some pitchers' heads). He's not a superstar, but he is a good overall player. He's not Jesus, though.

I still really like our offense (when healthy), but we definitely need to get some more speed in the lineup. Preferably a great defensive center fielder. That'd really help.

Or SS.  Guz is fading fast and remember he played a few years on that crap turf in Minnesota.

No, he's better at 2b.  We've got some SS prospects coming up before long.  Gonzalez could handle it for a year until one of them's ready.
