I still really like our offense (when healthy), but we definitely need to get some more speed in the lineup. Preferably a great defensive center fielder. That'd really help.

Yeah, if only Maxwell was hitting well right now he would fit that bill.  I don't mind having Harris in center a game or two  a week, but he is not the guy to play out there full time.

Who do you think the fastest guy in our organization is?

Boomer Whiting is the best at stealing bases. 47 SBs last year in A and A+. 19 SBs to 3 CS this year in A+.

Probably Bernadina or Maxwell.  I hear Hood has very good speed as well.

edit:  SF makes a good point about Whiting, the dude has some wheels.  Can't hit though....

The free T-Shirts they gave out today are definitely the worst I have seen them give away on T-Shirt Tuesday.  White T with "vote for Nats" on it, horrible.

Jeez guys, way to dump on the game threads.  I feel like you're beating up on my kid ;)

Adam Dunn with a 2-out double that goes predictably uncommented-upon by sportsfan :P

Who will be making my new avatar when we lose this game

boy would it be nice if Dukes could get Dunn home, or at least move him to third.

Nice. We need some of that.

Bernadina could end up being a pretty good player. Just needs to stay healthy. Man, we need a true leadoff hitter.

In terms of fastest runner I would go Bernadina.

Whiting has been a little hot lately batting .333 (12/36) over his last 10 games. His BA is up to .261 on the season. He may make it as a utility player/pinch runner down the road.

I really liked the way that his swing was looking before he got injured, such a shame.  It seems like whenever one of our guys gets it going, they get injured.

Way to go Dukes, right down the line!

Yeah, I think that would be his ceiling.  I want to see how he hits at AA before I would go that far, because at this moment he seems to be more of an organizational guy.  It would be really great if he could learn how to hit, because he is a menace on the basepaths.

Flores was on pace for a huge year. :(

Despite being out for the last month, Flores still has 3 more HRs than Geovany Soto and Russell Martin combined.
