I LIKE IT!  They are stepping up the aggressiveness on the base paths tonight!  Keep it up!

I'd be willing to take bets that doesn't happen

Based on what?  There's more evidence to say that he will than that he won't.

I think he'll end up at .313. OBP? .319.

What evidence?  He is in a slump?  Every player slumps from time to time.

What evidence? You're both just guessing. He was a .316 hitter last season, though.

I just don't understand how these freakers like Tavarez get free passes while Clippard continues to dominate as a reliever in AAA.

blows my mind.

This is a profound slump and there's no indication that it will end before he's batting .200.  How do you propose he's going to break out of it?

Sure, I'm guessing.  Anything in the future is a guess.  Based off of past performances, though, I am pretty confident he won't be at the Mendoza line.  Over a 15 game span last year, Guzman was 7 for 51, yet he still ended up batting .316 for the season.  Players go through slumps, it is part of the game of baseball.  Just because someone doesn't hit well for a 10-20 game period doesn't mean that he won't ever start hitting well again.

My guess is this is it for Tavarez, one batter in one run game, that might go into extra innings.  I think he's gone tonight.
