not how I wanted the season to end.  Rough night.  Couldn't get the glove to work at all.  Really frustrating.

Those nights are frustrating.  Sometimes when the errors come they come in bunches.  Sorry to hear it was in an elimination game.   :(

Surgically repaired shoulder good to go. Made the throw from third in my last hardball game last week. Ponce de Leon, weeknight league.

Got back behind the plate for seven innings today.  I am out of shape...

And I busted my buddies bat.  :lmao:  Shattered into four pieces when I made contact halfway up the barrel.

Still only one WP allowed and no PB.  1-for-4 throwing runners out.

0-for-2 at the plate with a line-out to CF.  Dude stole a double from me.

So I got an interesting porposal today....

The manager for one of the teams in my league reached out to me and asked me to jump ship and play for his team.  His team is struggling right now at 0-4-1 and they need a lot of help including at catcher.  Right now, I play for a team that won the championship last year and looks good enough to win it all again this year.  It's a great group of guys who all play really well together.  Problem is, I'm a backup right now because our current catcher is better at throwing out steal attempts than I am (otherwise, we're pretty comparable).  So as a result, I don't play as much in the field as I used to.

Again, I love this team and the guys are a great group.  But I have an opportunity to go to a lousy team and play every inning of every game that I show up to.  I know some of the guys and the manager is a really good guy and a great player.

What do I do?

Jump ship. You are paying to play, so, go where you will play. But don't be surprised if they buzz the tower when you bat against them...

I hear you, but playing on a team that is the equivalent of the 2009 Nats seems unappealing after winning it all last year.

Swept a double-header last night, 9-0 and 8-1.  No thanks to me though as I went 0-for-5 with three K's - channeled my inner AnKKKiel.

Planning on riding down to Cameron Run tomorrow and renting a batting cage for an hour.  The laser show should start around noon.

I'd bet that your arms give out 20 minutes in. An hour's worth? That's a lot of swings.

I've got a lot of pent-up frustration to work out.

Pent Up frustration? In that case, 15 minutes.

Noon. Maybe I'll see you there - take over the cage after you run out of gas.
