Carpenter thinks baseball has some explaining to do.  I think that baseball will have no comment whatsoever.

Baseball gives less than a flying freak about the Nationals.

Either the Lerners are retards or Manny Acta has impregnated his daughter - what in the world could be keeping him here?!?!?

You're not allowed to criticize the Lerners, for some reason.

i'm watching a movie so please pm me or start a new post in caps letters letting me know if we somehow got rid of manny acta or made a shocking move.

at least balester and martin had good games.

Yet, MacDougal the bum we're calling up, gave up two runs in one inning tonight.

i can't wait til the day - 30 years from now when the plan is working (and the lerners have sold the team) - when we pwn the mets and have the ability to sweep them to go ahead in first place.

oh happy day.

It's Rizzo's call - sheesh
OK, have it your way: either Rizzo is a retard or Manny has impregnated HIS daughter...what in the world could be keeping him here?!?!?!  Either way - we are hosed.   :?

To paraphrase the Cornell student section:

"WHICH TEAM IS THE WINNING TEAM?"

"THEIR TEAM IS THE WINNING TEAM!"

"WHICH TEAM IS THE LOSING TEAM?"

"OUR TEAM IS THE LOSING TEAM!"

My God, we suck.  I honestly didn't think that 20 games under .500 was even possible before June 1st by any team in the history of baseball.  We defy all logic.

Really Bob? I'm pretty sure K-Rod doesn't throw a straight slider at 93 MPH.

Beating the Nats is so easy that K-Rod has tones down the normal histrionics.

so this is how it plays out ...

Rizzo walks back to the concourse, sends a messenger to Manny's office saying he wants to speak with him.  Rizzo walks in and says it's just not working out.  You, Hanrahan, Kearns, Tavarez and Colome all have to go.

Nats hire the Wily Mo Pena cardboard cutout from Debbi Taylor's broadcasting commercials from last year and NatsTown rejoices and the club goes on to win 90 more games.  We sweep the Royals in a 4-game World Series.

I'm just numb to the pain at this point. I'm so pissed/angry/disgusted that I can't even get mad anymore.

This team is the biggest disgrace I have seen in Professional sports. Acta and the players have resigned to losing. It has become the norm.

thank you.  just turned off the movie to listen.

i've heard in weeks past the radio crew has bashed him.  and i know dibbs has dissed manny too.

i know manny's not working with the best talent, but good god, would kill the guy to show some heart and some pep in his step and try and boost this team.  staying positive and saying everything is going to be okay and be patient doesn't work all the time.  you have to have a medium.

Is being pissed or angry somehow different than being mad?

DAMNIT! I thought Johnny said "Manny was fired tonight".

Sadly he said "Manny was wired tonight".
