Ok Joe.  When you intentionally walk someone, the object is to not allow the next batter to get a hit.

It sort of defeats the purpose.

Theory... AZ and Eagleskins are one and the same.

How hilarious would that be?

WTF! Crapenter usually calls fly balls like they are bombs and yet he said that fly ball out was not very deep when it looked plenty deep to advance the runner.

thank you for proving my point. he hits homers when we're down 4-0, not when we actually need it. i knew he'd fail.

The reason we made it to extra innings is because the score was 5-5, not 5-4.  Do you not realize that a run is worth the same regardless of the inning it's scored in?

Not trying to make excuses for Beimel, but he may have been rushed back from the DL.  This is ridiculous.

Great, another example of why intentional walks are stupid.

Do you not realize that a run is worth the same regardless of the inning it's scored in?

do you not realize that Dunn SUCKS in the clutch?

the Nats could be celebrating a win if Kearns or Dunn had an ounce of clutch in their body, but they both blow.

He probably would've doubled anyway.

Of course some people will claim Beimel is hurt but he's active and pitching regularly so I refuse to use that as an excuse. He is probably useless for more than facing the occasional lefty from time to time and it's possible he is being misused but who else can you bring in? Villone gave us two solid innings and Beimel seems to be the best one left. There is nothing we can do but expect our starters to go 9 or hope our offense outclubs the opposition.

You, sir, are truly blessed then. Where did you pick that coupon up and where did you use it?

It's a coupon for "Express Food", a Gaithersburg, MD beer and wine store.  16254 S. Frederick Ave, Corner of Shady Grove Rd &  Route 355.  301-258-7742, open 7 days until 1 AM!!

They have coupons for LOTS of brands in 30-pack cans or 24-pack cans or bottles in a monthly mailer, Clipper Magazine, 1-888-569-5100.  They've been running an ad like this every month for YEARS.  So don't throw out your junk mailers; some have great deals!

Examples (they have these coupons EVERY month).  (I pick up multiple mailers from the trash):
$12.97 for 30-pack cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller High Life, Ice House, Busch, Natural Light
$13.97 for 24-pack cans Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite.
$17.97 for 30-pack cans Lite, MGD, Coors, Bud, Bud Ice & Select & Light.
$23.97 for 24-bottles of Guiness, Blue Moon, Warsteiner, Harp, Smithwicks, Red Stripes, Steinlager, Heineken, Amstrel Light, Corona, St Pauli's Girl, Becks, Grolisch, Wild Goose.
$24.97 for 24-bottles of Bass Ale, Stella Artois, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada.

They also have a coupon for 22 different WINES, for you pansies.  Note: The hops in BEER makes women's breasts grow larger.  True.

You CAN take it with you!

Nacionales 5
pirates 8

NOW it's time to wash away the pain that is the Nacionales bullpen.

Beimel is NOT a 2 inning guy.
