Thinking back, Bruntlett would never have gotten to bat, would he?
It was scored a hit and error on Colome.

Also, the announcers are wrong. Bruntlett would have still brought in runs on his double.

He would have been up with two outs.

Worth singled.
Victorino walked
Feliz singeld (error- 1 out)
Ruiz flied out- 1 out (2 outs)
Bruntlett - Doubles

So yeah, two outs.

Mine would be a short book Unsafe in Any Inning: The Insiders story of the utter lack of fundamentals on and off the field for the franchise known as the the Washington Natinals. With special introduction by Rob Dibble.

Note: The spelling is intentional. :stir:

Sadly an outline comes to mind quickly.

Ugh, 4 game sweep.  With our offense consistently putting up 5 or more runs a game, we should be much better than 11-25.  In only 15 games of 36 have we failed to score at least 5 runs, and 4 of those we still won.  So really 11 games lost can be counted as a failure of the offense to produce enough runs in my mind.

So, of our 25 losses, at least 14 are because our pitching staff, primarily the 'pen, are simply inadequate.

Lowest point in team history. Phillies have officially taken over Nats Park and made it their own.

QFT.. there was a little kid behind home plate, with his philly dad, wearing a world series philly hat. He kept waving it whenever a nats pitcher was pitching. Sucks to see little kids are being corrupted when their philly phans. I bet Kasten gave them those seats because we need more attendance.

From the Nats web site:

Quote
In finale, error proves costly in loss to Phillies
With the Nationals leading by a run in the eighth, Jesus Colome made a throwing error that allowed the tying and go-ahead runs to score in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Phillies at Nationals Park.

Whatever the official scoring, I wouldn't have headlined it like that. The Nats suck. There's suckage to go around. A pitcher who looks to first, see that he can get a runner, that there's someone waiting at the bag, and gets the ball there in time, on target, shouldn't be ragged by his organization for the play.

the error should be on anderson hernandez.  colome's throw was right there and in time for the out.  that's on '360' and it cost us the game.

MLB Advanced Media writes the summaries, not the Nats.
