And with no outs in the bottom of the 8th, the Florida Marlins finally get a hit off Clayton Kershaw: a double by Cody Ross. 21-year-old Kershaw's no-hit bid is over.

Oh well, he lost it.

Good try from Kershaw though.

Besides, he gave the Dodgers a nice cushion... 10-0!

Haha, Marlins left fielder Emilio Bonifacio drives in Florida's first run of the game with a sacrifice fly. I didn't know Bonifacio played left.

We better take 3 out of 4 from the Pirates.

That series is begging for a sweep.

Cabrera has other ideas.

citron's avg only drops 4 points to .083 - why he's on our roster is beyond me

He's Puerto Rican.  Do Dominican Republicans like Puerto Ricans?  With Guzman's health a recent problem, it may be just to have a backup fielder at SS.

ACTA, can we SCORE SOMEBODY from 3B with NO OUTS?

I guess my defining moment I sent to the Nats didn't make it.  It was about Saul Rivera being forced into the closer spot.  Rivera getting blasted by the Marlins and losing. Being sent down and then brought right back up the next day.  With me pointing at a poster that says Front Office and me saying "I don't think they know what they're doing."

Dear mr. Dibble: if Olsen, cabrera and Zimmerman would consistantly give up only 3 runs and pitch 6 innings, we'd be over .500. We cant even do that!

We think Monday.

For some reason this series against the Phillies has produced the 3 least active Gameday threads of the year.

Alex Cintron = Pete Orr

Pete Orr is a far superior player to Cintron.

but if your the Phillies, you tell yourself this game is far from over. we will be facing the worst bullpen in the majors in the 8th and 9th. the pitcher will be nervous from pitch #1. as soon as there is a runner, he'll be convinced that at least 1 run will score....

Attendance 29,521.

shoeshineboy must be there, interviewing for the Nationals' manager job.

I picked up Juan Pierre off fantasy waivers.  3 for 5, 2 runs and 3 RBIs.  The Dodgers beating Marlins 12-1 now.  My fantasy opponent is a Mets fan, I've been ahead all week. ;)
