the only reason to watch today is to see if RZ can extend the streak and if Martis can pick up his 5th win of the season.

it's all about individual goals at this point since Rizzo refuses to fix the pen.

Pretty much. Individual goals help me sleep at night. Hopefully Zimmy extends and Martis gets another win for his rookie record!

SF's right about one thing - moves in the pen would be announced already probably due to the early start time. Guessing they want to make the changes after the road trip or during the off day.

Pretty sure they're waiting till we get back to the east coast and on the off day.

With that being said, if he brings in Colome and MacDougal over Clippard and Bergmann... well I don't know what I'll do.

Colome and MacDougal are formalities. My guess is that Mock goes down and Kensing gets released. One of Tavarez and Wells ( I prefer Julian) needs to stay as middle inning guys, but who the hell is the closer?

Wouldn't 5-0 make Martis tied for the lead in the entire NL in wins?

Yeah. He was tied for the lead at 4-0, actually, so if someone else has won in the meantime he would be tied for the lead again at 5-0.

Hey PANatsFan, I just wrote in the last Thresher of the year that "Shairon Martis will be the 2009 NL Rookie of the Year. You heard it here first." So we BETTER win today.
