With an open base, they'll pitch around him. This is bad for the streak and for the team, because now freaking Willingham is up.
he's been terrible today. 0/3 with 2 Ks and 4 LOB.

I guess he's due.

It's the right baseball move. They would have been idiots to pitch to Zim in that situation. Complete idiots.

Maybe we should have someone a little more threatening behind him. Like... just about anyone.

Why are some of you upset? The Giants don't have an obligation to give Zimmerman a chance to extend a streak. They are in this for their own interest not Zimmerman's. People here didn't want to pitch to Bonds for the sake of the record so I don't get the disgust. Some of you are clearly more interested in Zimmerman's streak than the team itself. Why not just beg them to put one on a tee for Zimmerman? An accomplishment should be earned. If it doesn't happen it doesn't happen.

Due for a bomb. That's how he's been this year. K, K, K, K, homerun. :)

you at least want to see him get a chance. they have walked him twice. that sucks. I could understand if he goes 0/4 or 0/5 but 0/2 with 2 walks sucks.
