It doesn't matter who make's the Game Thread, it has no effect on the outcome of the game.

well yeah.

but it's a community-building exercise.

also this way SF can't whine at 2k6 about it for the rest of his life.

i like 2k6, we're in charge of YNOT, so i'm cool with him.

on the days that i have started the thread i have seen that there was no thread started and i had free time so i went ahead and made threads.  it just so happens the nats haven't lost in gameday threads that i started.

hell last week we were down 6-0 and i was sure as hell we would lose that one.

I had a friend growing up who actually believed the outcome of Red Sox games hinged on his positioning in his lazy-boy.  He had to sit one leg folded under, remote in right hand (even though he never changed the channel) and beverage of choice in his left hand.  He believed it.  That's all that mattered.

Some people have stupid superstitions but the bottom line is they're their superstitions.

Great, but constantly nagging at 2k6 because the Nats lose when he makes the GDT gets freaking old.

I know none of that matters and has no impact on the games but it doesn't stop me from doing some of those things.

simple rules.

1) You make the Game Thread. If you win, you make the next game thread.
2) You keep making the Game Thread every game until you lose, REGARDLESS OF WHO IS PITCHING.
3) When you lose, someone else makes the next game thread.

WIN

exactly, but some people on here just like to nag just to nag.

But most of the nagging that sparked all this to begin with came from people who naged about 2K6 being the jinx that was causing the Nats' losing streak.  :?

2) You keep making the Game Thread every game until you lose, REGARDLESS OF WHO IS PITCHING.
3) When you lose, someone else makes the next game thread.

But, according to sportsfan, the more you win, the greater your chances of losing are for the next one.  In other words, somebody who starts and wins 10 consecutive threads, is more likely to lose the 11th, than somebody who had lost 10 consecutive threads.

Therefore, we should always go with the loser, not the winner.                   :icon_mrgreen:

That lineup with Cullen, Brinkman et al was pretty darn productive.

alright, with Cabrera's start out of the way, i think we can win the next 2. Jay-Z got hit a bit in his last couple starts, but he'll get back on track tonight.

LET'S GO NATS!!!
