Hernandez gets a lot of unnecessary crap around here. He's batting .289 with an OBP of .385 this season.

question: does batting (especially hitting the ball) effect the pitcher's arm strength? i.e. does an at bat like that tire a pitcher like ..say... 5 pitches?

the experiment of him at the leadoff was a disaster, but he's been solid/good in other places. Also considering he was rushed back to the majors after his injury, he looks good

No Bob.  We have nothing else in the bullpen.

Not sure I like this move right here.. seems like more overmanaging by Acta. I hope it works out

Mock isn't good enough for the 8th, but he's good in a game-saving situation here?

FIRE MANNY!

imagine how olsen feels right now - he has a 3-1 lead but runners on 1st and 2nd 2 outs. the #7 hitter is up and Manny pulls him for Mock.

Absolutely asinine decision by Manny pulling Olsen.  Stupid.

I, for one, feel comfortable with the bullpen trying to get 10 outs against the Phillies in this ballpark with a two run lead.

Mock on the mound with his 9.82 ERA - tying runs on base.

Phew.

Getting a good result doesn't validate the decision.

It was a tough call with Olsen only having 93 pitches. But better a batter early than a batter too late. Mock just needs to throw strikes.

Mock does it !! he recorded an out !! olsen pitches 5.2 and allows 1 run. but who pitches the 7th 8th and 9th? good luck scott.
