Fedor is just an amazing fighter. One of the best I've ever seen. Anyone else see the fight last night.

Yes, that punch he hit Rogers with was unbelievable. Just the sound of it told me all I needed to know. Rogers got his ass jacked up. Rogers of course had to act like a punk afterwards.

that was awesome. Rogers was pounding him in the first round.

The fight before was so dull. Jake Shields is lame.

That's the thing with Fedor though. He never panics or gets off of his gameplan. You could just look at him in the first round, even when Rogers got some shots in, and know that he was not rattled one bit. He keeps stalking and finds your weakpoint to win the fight. I would love to see him fight Lesnar.

Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin tonight (UFC 106). Should be a close fight. The Josh Koscheck-Anthony Johnson fight is the one I'm really looking forward to, though.

Brock vs. Fedor. Make it happen!

I think Brock is going to retire. Sucks.

Wake me when Lesnar comes back.

Wow, weird that WWE fans here love Lesnar.

I don't hate the guy on a personal level but I think he was horse crap in the WWE.  He was very careless in the ring and had a penchant for injuring opponents.  Just ask Hardcore Holly who was out for over a year after Lesnar broke his neck.

And don't get me started on his last match with Goldberg.  What a crappile.

Although I guess you could attribute that to Goldberg being a dud in the ring.

Also, I don't know how I didn't see this post earlier... but I've got to chime in.

The Holly botch was NOT Lesnar's fault. Holly refused to jump when Lesnar started the powerbomb thus creating a ton of dead weight that Brock had to lift all on his own.  Holly was trying to make a point about Brock being a star too young so Lesnar stiffed the freak out of him and broke his neck.

Holly was and will always be a prick and got what he deserved imo.

I actually love the Goldberg/Lesnar match simply for how the MSG crowd reacted. The 'hey hey goodbye' chants were epic and were so loud Ross actually had to acknowledge them on the broadcast.

Obviously the match wasn't that good... but the big fight atmosphere and crowd response was up there with Rock/Hogan imo.

Diego is a little out there   I like watching him. Diego vs Penn is going to be good. (http://mixedmartialartvideos.com/diego-sanchez-yes-cartwheels-video/ Yes Cartwheels!  :icon_mrgreen:)

Mir-Kongo is hard to pick, and Florian-Guida should be good too. Can't wait!

Also, Houston Alexander lost his job after losing to Kimbo Slice on The Ultimate Finale. That fight was pretty rough to watch  :?

It's true. Watch the original Tough Enough. What he did to Matt Capoletti was much worse than what Brock did to him. He also beat the crap out of Rene Dupree all because he got a ticket while in Bob's rent a car.

Doesn't mean he "deserved" to get his neck broken.

No he didn't deserve to get his neck broken, but Bob Holly deserved every stiff move he ever recieved in a match.

Mayweather. Unanimous decision. Mosely had a GREAT second round, but then Mayweather took over. The crowd was going nuts during that second round. I thought he was going to knock Mayweather out.

Brilz was robbed.

Any sport with Judges is shady in my mind. This fight proved my point.

Yeah, that sucked. The first could have gone either way, but I think Brilz won the fight.

Rampage or Rashad? I think Rashad will knock him out in the second.

I had Little Nog in that one.  Thought he eeked out the first and won the third decisively.  Brilz has the best overall round in round 2, but it's not Pride scoring so the decision made sense to me.

Brilz is an Omaha boy, heard him on the radio both before and after the fight.  Total class.  Didn't see the fight, but sounds like he got screwed.

Can't understand how anyone can watch MMA.

There are a lot of bad fights, but there are quite a few classics as well. I love the sport.

I like boxing, too, but I miss the heavyweights of the 90's. There were a lot of good ones.

There's the occasional bad fight, but most of the ones labeled bad are really good ground fights that are pissed on by people who don't understand the grappling/submission techniques being displayed.  I gained a ton of appreciation for the sport when I started training with a friend who competes in regional BJJ tournaments.  The stuff going on on the canvas is much more interesting to me than most of the striking.

Boxing is less legitimate than pro wrestling.  The 90s had 2 good heavys in Tyson and Lewis and one good roided up cruiser paying his baby mommas.  George freaking Foreman held a belt in the 90s it was so bad at one point.  Get rid of all the current ruling bodies and most of the promoters.  Put Ring Magazine in charge of the rankings and match making.  Put a federal commission in charge of rules/regulations.
