Ramon Ortiz, RHP (3-4, 5.31)
The Washington offense gave Ortiz an eight-run lead in his last outing against Los Angeles, and the right-hander made it stand up. Ortiz worked five innings of one-hit ball before being touched up for three runs on four hits in the sixth. Ortiz needed 102 pitches to pick up the win -- throwing 67 of them for strikes.

VS.

Dana Eveland, LHP (0-2, 7.97)
Eveland was a bit erratic in his last start Sunday in Philadelphia. The left-hander gave up six hits, four earned runs, hit three batters in five innings and took the loss to fall to 0-2. Eveland has a decent strikeout-to-walk ratio with 21 strikeouts compared to 10 walks this season.

They're talking about him on the radio., He was a 16th round draft pick a few years back, and was ranked 7th in their prospect system.

This pitcher should not get out of this inning without giving up some runs!

The TV schedule was set before the season.  All 3 Yankee games will be televised, as will 2 Red Sox games.
Nick at Night while it's still light drives in Clayton;  Zim drives in Vidro!
(who should be batting 7th or 8th.  We coulda scored 2.)

Okay maybe 6th, but has has few steals and few RBIs for his ABs.   Soriano was out on a fielder's choice.  I'd rather see Nick J. and Zimm hitting Sori in.

11-pitch inning for Ortiz!  We couldn't ask for much better.

Now, for the offense, keep the pressure on.  Don't let this, now 8.44 ERA pitcher get confortable!  Let's get to their bullpen early!

Vento is on. Hopefully Ortiz could lay down a bunt
