splitters were the toughest pitch for me to locate. I only seen it from one person in hs, but that was enuff. That pitch looks like a fastball and then it just disappears and sinks on you. I could never figure it out. Defintely one of my favorite pitches to see(as long ats its not against me). Do any pitchers on the Nats have a splitter?
Smoltz, Schilling, and Clemens throw it - puts less stress on the arm so it prolongs careers. With all the Nationals pitchers who have gone on DL, every one of them ought to know how to throw it. Was Hill throwing them? He had Tommy John surgery. What's the difference between a sinker and splitter?
