Working on ignore list
« Topic Start: April 13, 2009, 08:02:12 PM »
I can't promise it'll be working tonight, but I'm at least making the necessary edits after which I'm going to cross my fingers and upload the files.  We'll see what happens.

Well there's one part that breaks the profile page but I can't figure out what it does or how to fix it...  ignoring seems to work without it, so I'm just going to leave that part disabled for now, and you guys can tell me if you notice anything that's broken

Now wait a minute, I'm noticing people I did NOT put on ignore are now on ignore. What gives with that?

People you had ignored before popped back onto your ignore list.

I don't believe I had this person ignored prior to the ignore button disappearing.

The database doesn't care for your beliefs.  The database knows.

We'll see how smug the database is when I accidentally spill a little bit of my daily morning Irish Coffee on it's server.

Perhaps you installed the new telepathy module.

reasonable...it would help wade through the threads I don't want to read though...just a thought.

Hmm...  the only thing is I'm sure there would still be a line like "This thread is being ignored" or something, so it wouldn't really cut down on clutter much.  Of course the other problem is that I don't see any mods like this on the SMF mod site.  I think there may be some kind of functionality like this in the next version of the software, though.

Is there a way to get the names of posters who are "ignoring" you?  I'm against the whole principal of ignoring on an internet message board but I'm really against being able to ignore anonymously.

go to profile, then ignore user options
