his velocity has been down all Spring. the Marlins knew this and that is why they dealt him to us for "cheap".

jeez. wild pitch. not even close.

Yeah, but he was hitting 88 and 89 in ST.  The only time he 88 so far this game was on that wild pitch, which would indicate to me that he was trying to push too hard on the pitch.  Maybe he didn't warm up properly.

The Nats just can't hit Johnson's fastball.  Kearns and Flores both go down on straight fastballs.
