Johnny Be Good!!!
Kearns batting 6th
He's a corner outfielder, if he is good enough to start then he should be good enough to hit in a run poducing spot.
Batting him behind Johnson makes the end of the line up more vulnerable IMO. The idea of breaking up the hitters is to force the other teams pitchers to have to throw to new spots.
or you could be like the phillies and line up as many lefties as possible
Thank God this day is finally here.
Johnson hits lefties just as well as righties. Anyway, I'm skeptical of this "new spots" theory. It seems to me, that the primary purpose of alternating left handed/right handed batters is to prevent the opposing manager from getting favorable lefty / righty matchups without burning through a new pitcher per batter.
Manny is obsessed with this crap. I'm getting awfully tired of Manny. He's as superstitious, stubborn, favoritism driven, and pigheaded as FR was.
At least he doesn't fall asleep.
it doesn't matter where you bat Kearns- he's going to kill the lineup regardless. however, i'm confident the rest of the team will be able to overcome his trademark weak grounders and pop outs.
Yeah, I might have switched Belliard and Dunn around personally...I trust Ronnie more in RBI situations than Kearns...
Belliard in CLEANUP?!?!?!
