I must say the new jersey's look real sharp

Sadly, I think this is the most positive thing about this game so far.

hahaha sportsfan?!?!
 I've actually noticed the strike-throwing thing for a while now.

But it's 2009, we have our "ace" on the mound, and the team is still experiencing these problems.  Enough already.
AZ just went flaccid. Nice one, Kearns.
 +1

I agree.  I'd still like to see them with the red hats and socks, but it doesn't look too bad with the blue.

Lannan, stop freakING NIBBLING YOU wussy

I'm so sick of Nationals' pitchers nibbling

Just fire St. Claire's ass already.

He won't correct mechanical flaws that lead to injury.  Okay, I understand that you don't want to freak with what works for a guy.

BUT HE WON'T TEACH OUR freakING PITCHERS TO THROW STRIKES WITH MORE CONSISTENCY

THERE IS A DOCUMENTED CORRELATION BETWEEN FIRST-PITCH STRIKES AND OUTS, YOU DUMBfreak

Randy's pitching philosophy is first pitch strike. He's not on the mound, Lannan is. Lannan was a nibbler last year, and he'll be a nibbler this year. The Marlins are smart enough to know that he wastes alot of pitches trying to get batters to reach and they just need to wait for him to place it in their wheel houses.

If it's his philosophy, his pitchers have a REALLY hard time executing it, especially the young ones.  That's troubling.  Either these guys have zippo control, or he's having a hard time getting these guys to buy into his philosophy.

The mothers of all those Dukes children groan, as Kearns drives in a run.

Nationales 2
Marlins 6

Lannan gone after 3 innings...
