I'm going to leave this wake for a while.  If a miracle happens, and we get a runner on base or something rare like that, maybe I'll drop in again.

Somebody please explain how Frank is allowed to keep his job?  This is such an undisciplined, fundamentally unsound club.   Also, why are there no repercussions for lazy, undisciplined, or ineffective play by the players?  I can take losing if we're competitive and play hard & disciplined, but more often than not, these guys give away the games.

Coming into the series, the Cubs had been shut out 5 times in 16 games, scored 13 runs in 11 games, and scored more than 3 runs in a game only once in the past 16 games.  Yet we make them look like the 1927 Yankees.

And that's 9 sat down in order by the new pitcher in Chicago that everybody's been talking about: Sean Whatshisname!

Juan "I look like i'm 14" Pierre makes a sliding catch to rob Soriano.

Am I losing my mind or didn't he used to play for the Marlins?  If so i assume he got auctioned off during the firesale?

The MASN announcers love to remind us that the Nats aren't out of this game yet and that there's lots of baseball left to play.  I'm pretty sure they're trying to convince themselves as much as anyone else

Nick grounds out on another chop-swing at a pitch up and in.  He seems to be very vulnerable to those kinds of pitches.

Everyone is in awe as Sean Marshall is still working on that no-hitter against the amazing offense of the Washington Nationals.  How is this happening?  Against the NATIONALS?  The WASHINGTON NATIONALS?  This kid is good!

Getting a hit would make that more believable, of course.

Jackson doesn't know what a glove is for...and the Cubs get another runner at first.

I guess that's the reason Royce Clayton has started almost every game this year.

i'll post a ortiz-esque defense here. zach day should probably only have give up a run.  he hasnt been hit hard at all. its a shame he is credited with 3 earned. there needs to be another class of runs. Earned, Unearned, Earned Only Because he has the Nats Defense behind him
