So, anybody think Potomac can repeat?  Will Potomac's great results move up the chain to Harrisburg this year?

Is there any hope for Hagerstown?

Who's going to be in the starting rotation in Syracuse?

That's a good question. We have a log jam of starters at the high levels of our system.

You have several minor league free agents like Wil Ledezma, Josh Towers, Mike O'Connor, Odalis Perez, and Bobby Brownlie that will all more than likely want to be starters and pitching at the very least AAA. Brownlie was in our system last year and did well in AA so I doubt he'd accept an assignment back to AA again.

And then you have a slew of young minor leaguers like Tyler Clippard, Marco Estrada, Shairon Martis, Craig Stammen, and possibly Jordan Zimmermann or Collin Balester.

I really don't know how they are going to fit every one in because the AA rotation will likely be full as well (Detwiler, Atilano, VanAllen, Alaniz, Jones).

I think all of our teams should be pretty decent this year like last year but I think our AA and AAA teams could compete for a Championship.

brian, do you see Marrero or Burgess getting a taste of AA this year? You have them both in Potomac, blocked by minor league veterans Rhinehart and Padilla (well, Rhinehart's been around longer).

i'd love to see Detwiler, Marrero, and Burgess in AA by September.

Detwiler is going to start in AA. Where's Clippard on that list? Zech getting the boot to Harrisburg?

start in AA? I know he was money in the playoffs, but he didn't have a great 3/4 of the year, right? it'd be great if we could have him ready for a callup.

hey Brian, just a thought.

you have the Board seperated by 40-man roster, and then Minor League rosters.

since it's the beginning of the season, perhaps you may want to take some time during ST and re-work it to reflect a 25-man Roster, with something to designate 40-man roster players in the Minors.

and then at the end of the season, instead of changing to Board to a 40-man format, just add a designation for September call-ups.

The Nationals have said a bunch of times that the plan is for him to start the year in AA unless something changes in the Spring.

I will start working on that in a couple of weeks. The 40-man guys are always in gray boxes.
