Interested in knowing how this went down.  Did the Abreu deal seal it and convince him to take the offer that had been there all along, or did the Nationals make a late push?

i am not the biggest Adam Dunn fan, but two years is perfect.  We lose a lot of salary next year have two years to continue grooming the OF's and 1B's in the system.

You know what, I was fairly anti-Dunn, but I'm excited about this move if it is in fact a Dunn deal.  I'm ok with 2 years.  As if they really sought my input in the first place... :D

The lack of response is strange. . . We have an actual SLUGGER not a Vinny Castilla former slugger type.

wow. It's only 2 years. Not bad. I can live with this. Dunn is a National now so I will root for him to kick ass for us. No hard feelings from me.

I hope the DC police have the Calvert Street Bridge sealed off.  As panic stricken as some posters were over signing him, you never know what they'll do with this news.  :spaz:

Wow, even sportsfan can't nag about this.

Excellent job, FO!  Images of Dunn and Dukes hitting deep bombs are dancing in my head.

Now let's just hope the pitching cracks out well.

Oh thank God this is over...

Well, I guess I better start designing the uber-man love Dunn avatar I promised Hammonds I'd post for myself for a month if Dunn signed in DC. Hope you guys like pink.

I didn't really want this guy on the team, but 2 years for some power (while we develop power) and certainty at the 1B for awhile is well worth it.  I am actually kind of excited about this.

No one else is yet reporting this, but it had to be the Abreu deal. Dunn got nervous.

I am a man of my word and I stand by my promises and convictions. I am not really in an atmosphere right now to create such an avatar, but I will tonight.

How many games should the Nationals win this season? Baseball Prospectus has them at 77.

2 year deal is right for this team at this point.  It is good to see this team improve itself for the short term and not hurt itself in the long run.
