If it's Jeter, I'll be  .
#3.  Still a bit high, IMO, but at least they recognize he's not the SS he once was.  Although, HR still thinks he's the best, citing his "intangibles".

I like Harold Reynolds, I really do, but he's really got to get over the idea of Jeter being a top 20 player.  He's not, he's getting old.  Let it go.  I thought they were pretty generous with where they put him.

I was staying with a friend after surgery.   She got MLB network.  Got to see them rate the 10 best 3rd Basemen and a review of the 1995 season (which I loved for obvious reasons).  Now I don't have it and have to deal with NBA news.  Sorry, I'm not a huge pro basketball fan.

They just completed the MLB Top 100 Players series tonight.  The Face of the Franchise was #20.  (Jayson Werth was #45, I believe).

I didn't see it - did Dunn make the list?

We probably need about 3 more top 100 players before we're competing for the top of the division.  Maybe 4 more.

Stras and Harper will only take us so far.  Maybe Norris/Ramos/Flores will become another in that category.  Maybe Zimmermann.

He was in the middle somewhere.  50's or 60's, I think.  I think Espinosa and/or Desmond could find himself on that list in a couple of years.

I didn't watch the whole thing - it was spread over several nights - but I'm almost positive Dunn did not make the list.  Strasburg wasn't on it either, because one of the criteria was that you had to be expected to make a contribution to your team (i.e., be healthy) in 2011.  On the other hand, Chapman was #100.  At least Zimmerman got some well-deserved respect.  (They played a quote - I think it was from Brooks Robinson - saying that Zimmerman was the best third baseman in the game).

I believe the Phillies had at least 4 in the top 40, including some of their pitchers and Howard and Utley.  So that supports your point.

Dunn was about 2 spots below Werth.
