Big Bill had the best game so far for the Peoria Saguaros’ on Saturday, Oct. 25th:
2 for 6
1 HR
1 Double
3 RBI’s
2 Runs

On really interesting note:  He played Left Outfield!!!  Not certain what that’s all about…

Also, Leonard Davis is doing pretty well, too in the AFL.

.326 AVG
11 Games
2 HR’s
11 RBI’s
43 AB
7 SO

His strikeout counts are down, which is his biggest knock against him.  He struck out 23% of the time during the summer, and he’s down to 16%.  Not bad – moving in the right direction.  I definitely see Davis getting an honest chance at earning an OF position with the Nats in 2009.

He finished the AFL off really strong:
.326 AVG
19 RUNS
11 Doubles
4 HR's
28 RBI's
OBP 392
SLG .598
OPS .990

Also, an annoyingly poor interview with Bill via Ladies Locker Room (??)

Before one gets all excited about AFL stats, here's some Nats stats from 2005.  From these tell me who became MLers!   Names below, reverse spelled:

       Avg/OBP/Slug/OPS
A = .339/.446/.525/.971
B = .376/.417/.518/.935
C = .266/.310/.607/.917
D = .250/.308/.375/.683
E = .263/.317/.368/.685

Haha, nice post Vladihondo.  We're all suitably chastened.
