The Mets choke....AGAIN!
« Topic Start: September 28, 2008, 05:19:26 PM »
Marlins took care of the Mets, while Milwaukee won. No postseason for the Mets. The Mets are setting the standard for choking.  :)

How fitting that Ryan Church flew out to CF to end it.

Good bye Omar this off season. Kind of funny when you look at their team, arguably the best pitcher, third baseman, and shortstop in the NL. Throw in another standard Beltran season and Delgado's resurgent second half, and you get one of the all time great chokes two years in a row. There really has to be something wrong in that club house.

Maybe there is not enough room, even in New York, for all of those egos. All that money for those guys and they are watching the playoffs like us.

Minaya is a joke. All that money and expectation and he fails two years in a row. It is not all on the players. Last year he failed to shore up the pitching and was going down the stretch in crucial must-win games relying upon guys making their debuts. This year, he's relying on a Pedro yet again and allowed a bullpen to get so bad that a guy who wasn't cutting it with the worst team in baseball ends up being his closer. He must be fired.

and my favorite...

I <3 THE MUTTS MISERY. that dump Shea Stadium went out in shame! the closing ceremonies had the feeling of a funeral.  i watched the entire game unfold and it was very satisfying. i hate the mutts with a passion.

You can never take hate too far with the Mets and especially Minaya, who gutted the Expos' farm system.

MORE PICS, PLEASE!!!!

The nerve of some people...

http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&webtag=ml-mets&tid=388543

They're advocating trading Church and Schneider. And they also have a thread dedicated  to discussion of trading Wright for Felix Hernandez and someone insisted the MAriners would have to include Ichiro in such a trade. Then someone said it would be an even trade to ship Wright for Lincecum to the Giants (future Cy Young for future MVP, according to them).
