Marston and Goston, the Phils 7 and 8 hitters, have a combined 2 career at bats.

Wild pitch. Awesome. We are so throwing this game it's hilarious.

Glad that all of the players/coaches realize how important it is to lose this game.

You were pissed that we were losing yesterday, and now you're happy?

BTW how hilarious would it be if after the game the Nats pulled out the champagne, and had t-shirts saying Stephen Strasburg here we come

I hope everyone realizes that Strasburg isn't guaranteed to be the #1 pick. SO MUCH can happen between now and then.

i'd sport one that's for sure.  ronny, yeah i know, but it's fun to have something to look forward to = number one pick.  hey we have to be rewarded for being such a crappy, cheap team.

I was pissed at the way it ended. We had a chance to ruin all of the Phils' fun. Nothing good can from winning this game. The Phils have already clinched. It is absolutely positively meaningless.

We must lose.

lol, all of our players charge the mound cheering.

Nah that would be pathetic if we ever did that.

The fact that teams can throw out terrible lineups like this at the end of the season - pretty much to increase the chances of losing - makes me wonder why there isn't a lottery system in place in the MLB. I know this benefits us right now, but it still seems a little unfair.

So we control our own destiny, right?  If we LOSE, we get the #1 pick, regardless of whether Seattle wins or loses.  right?

The Mariners have been tanking for weeks now. They've used lineups like we did today for the last month.

Our players didn't quit. Did you see how close they made it yesterday?

Our terrible team fully deserves the first pick.

That's what I mean, though. I don't think teams should automatically be "rewarded" w/ one of the top picks just b/c they threw out terrible lineup after terrible lineup for the last month of the season. I might be alone here, but I like the lottery system idea. (We're not always going to be one of the worst teams )
