Is there any reason, other than him not signing with us, that everyone hates Crow so much?

Is there any reason you're always a contrarian (pot/kettle) and post in orange?  Is there any reason I shouldn't give you a new avatar ridiculing your current one?

Just sayin :mg:

Crow made the Royals roster as a reliever. Here's to hoping he crashes and burns in the Majors

Some things never change.   :smh:

I'm just curious. I wasn't around when he got drafted, so I'm unaware of the entirety of the events that played out afterward.

I think the simple answer to your original question would be "no, that's pretty much it."

We'll find out soon enough - Royals' season opener starts at roughly the time the final out should be recorded for ours, weather permitting (16.10 ET, home vs Angels).

Wait, the season opener is a day game? I'll be able to actually follow it  :D

So the Royals drop >$3M on this cat in the first round and are seriously considering him for the bullpen already? Why? Oh yeah, Dayton...
3 Million is not bad for a bullpen arm. If he is decent, that is a bargain even if he is a bullpen arm.

I'm not entirely sure what the Royals are doing with Crow. I'm guessing they're trying to C.J. Wilson him.

To me, its unbelievable that both Crow and Storen turned out to be relievers when they were picked that high. Crow isn't even the back up to Soria.  We are more or less talking about the equivalent in our pen of Clippard.

Crow gets Abreu to fly out to left. Nice catch by Alex Gordon.

Crow strikes out Wells. He's pitching very well.

The full book on Crow's MLB debut, in relief of loser Hochevar: 1 1/3 IP, no hits, no walks, no runs, 3 strike-outs.

KC is going with 4 rookie relievers who would not be good enough to make their AA rotation.

They're better than Jesse Chavez and Blake Wood.

I don't hold a grudge against the kid. I blame the agents and Bowden more for their incompetence in getting a deal done.

Crow and Collins have really impressed me so far. The Royals have a real fun bullpen.

Grumble - I'm thinking of picking him up for my AL fantasy team.

After Crow ended up on are leader board I made a joke about how every win Crow gets is a Vulture win since everything he does is undeserved. It was amatureish of him and his agents to refuse to discuss terms with the Nats until 11:00 PM of the signing day. If the Royals had the same deadline he wouldn't be there either. He held out for the most money he could get from them and it was still less than the Nats offered. I do have to say if I were Bowden, Kasten, or Lerner I would have kicked down the kids door and made him talk instead of waiting to hear from him until 11:00 PM.

Anyone watch Crow shut down the Yankees over 3 last night (in Yankee Stadium).  Nasty slider.  3IP, 3H, 3BB, 2K, 0ER.

The Royals are for real.

3 innings, 3 hits, 3 walks? may be a shutout, but not a shutdown.  Looks lucky.
